The Indian School of Business in association with Chandigarh Spinal Rehabilitation organised a scuba diving and swimming camp on Saturday in Mohali Campus for the differently abled people. The main aim of organizing this camp was to boost the moral and help develop a positive outlook of the participants who survived brain and spinal injury.
“Persons with disability should pursue excellence and not settle for mediocrity. With this event I wish to see more such collaboration to help us make a better world for everyone” says Divyanshu Ganatra cofounder of Adventures Beyond Barrier (a nonprofit organization) who was there along with Justin Jesudas, member of International Paralympic committee to encourage the participants.
The volunteers of the Net Impact Club of ISB supported and guided this four-day long event which started on June 14th. Devraj Roy event coordinator said, “We realized how important it is to help those in need. Our club organizes activities round the year to foster a sense of social responsibility and next year in January we plan to organize college joyathon for people in need”.
There were many participants from across Punjab and Delhi. One of the participants, Harvinder Kaur, who is suffering from spinal injury said, "you may be using a wheelchair but with the guidance of a skilled trainer you can even enjoy swimming."
