Karnataka State Youth Empowerment and Sports Department Announces 13 Ekalvya Awardees for the Year of 2017-18

Karnataka State Youth Empowerment and Sports Department has announced the Ekalavya Award for the year of 2017-18. Pramodh Madhvaraj, Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and Sports, disclosed the names of 13 sportspersons for the Ekalavya Award at Hotel Kidiyoor, Udupi on 5th March. The minister also announced Lifetime Achievement Award, Karnataka Kreeda Ratna Award and Kreeda Poshak Award on the same occasion.

The ceremony will take place on 7th March 2018, at Gurunank Bhavan, Bangalore and the awards will be presented by the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

  • Ekalavya award carries a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh and memento
  • Lifetime awardees will receive Rs. 1.5 lakh and a memento.
  • Kreeda Ratna award consists Rs. 1 lakh and a memento.
