Comcast, the parent company of NBC announces the launch of Olympic Channel from July 15, 2017. The Network also coveys that Olympic Channel will be available for Cable and satellite and will take the place of Universal HD as the latter will close its operations.
Comcast’s Digital Preferred Tier, AT&T U-Verse and DirecTV will telecast the Olympic channel. Direct TV telecasts Universal HD but Olympic channel will be added to its HD package tier.
In 2015, Universal Sports terminated and from that time Universal HD telecasted many Olympic sports. After the channel aired many programmes of NBC and its affiliates -Bravo and USA Network, it will close its operation.
The Olympic channel will continue to telecast various live winter and summer sports and viewers can enjoy them through the year.
