Para-Swimmer Satendra Singh Aims to Conquer the English Channel

Ace swimmer Satendra Singh from Gwalior has aimed to swim a 33.3 km at the Strait of Dover, the narrowest part of English Channel in June 2017.

He swam from Mumbai Prongs Reef Light House to Elephanta Island for 33km and completed at 5hrs and 43minutes on 4th May 2017, before he could conquer the English Channel.

Satendra Singh represented the country in the Paralympics at Rio 2016 held in Brazil.

Swimming in the English Channel is highly risky, the temperatures can drop to 6 degrees Celsius. The currents are strong and may take off course to long distances. On his accomplishment, Satendra Singh will be the first person with 75% disability to cross the English Channel.
