City Municipal Corporation of Coimbatore has renovated its pool at Gandhi Park at a cost of Rs. 1.78 crore and made open for public from this Monday. The pool is opened by Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development S.P. Velumani. The renovated pool has the abilities like recycle and self-cleaning of water auto-circulation method. The Pool was closed for the last three years for the renovation purpose.
Antony Louis, the manager of the swimming pool said that summer camp for children, men & women will start soon. The registration for swimming batch for women will start from Wednesday and class will start from Friday.
- Children's Batches: (aged between 6 and 10) - from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Women Batches: 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
- Public Batches also available.
